Re: Does West Ham losing actually ruin your week?
When I was in my teens through to my early twenties it did.

Having grown up and assumed responsibilities, a West Ham defeat ruins the 2 minutes after the final whistle.
3 minutes if it's against Tottingham.

Can't even recall if we won lost or drew our last game to be frank

Not for me. Will drive back from Villa having been among my mates and had a good day. Result don't matter as much because I follow the claret and blue for more than glory.

Will then log on here about 7pm and that will ruin my week.

It's not the fucking losing it's the way we don't even lose anymore.

Muslims shouldn't watch football.

When Sharia rule kicks in I will testify against you Fifth.

Cried after West Brom??? Blimey.

The only time I remember crying over West Ham I was 10 years old in my own in the front room watching Grandstand and they were reporting the football scores and Liverpool winning, I think against Luton, meant they had win the League and we couldn't. Little did I know that was the closest we'd get to winning the League in the following 29 years...

Like many when I was younger it really used to bother me especially arsenal games due to family members supporting them and I didn't speak to any of them for a week after we lost the q/f in 1998

Now I just enjoy going with my mates and it annoys for a couple of hours until the alcohol kicks in

It used to when I was youngeryears if experiencing disappointment allows me to now just shrug it off

The key is not having hope in the first place

Re: Does West Ham losing actually ruin your week?
When I was younger it used to put me in a massive mood, but a lot of stuff that actually matters happens when you grow up and sort of puts football in a saner perspective.

A terrible performance with not heart has always annoyed me more than a loss on its own. It's easy to let 'em off if they leave it all on the pitch.

When I was younger, it spoiled the rest of my weekend whenever we lost a match.

These days I tend to get over a loss in a few nanoseconds.

Re: Does West Ham losing actually ruin your week?
Like many, when I was younger it used to fuck the week up, and I was odds on to end up scrapping on the Saturday if we lost.

Getting older, having kids, and the advent of the modern cunty footballer, all took the edge of it to a degree, but you can never just shrug it off.

Looking back over the years I've been nearest to tears with joyous victories. When we won the FA cup in 1980, A few weeks after my father died, I had a real lump in my throat.

Re: Does West Ham losing actually ruin your week?
Took my granddaughter to Forest in the cup last season, if she'd been paying attention we could of got all sorts of freebies from a few squeezed out tears.

I'll admit to getting pissed off conceding unnecessarily stupid last minute goals, but after a couple in the Lion it all fades happily into a blur.

I don't actually beat the crap out of anyone, not at my age anyway, although I did come close in Cardiff after those Scouse cunts beat us
